Notes:
In the era of globalization, we are reaching out to India for IT collaboration, medical and pharmaceutical research, and tapping into the high growth potential market by reaching more than 1.08 billion consumers in this country.
As we work with many business partners in India, building cultural competency creates win-win situations. For example, Indians are more hierarchical and sometimes they might not say anything unless asked. When an Indian says, "Yes," he or she means, "I willl make every effort possible." Not, "I will give you 99% guarantee this project will be a success."
Conflict and direct disagreements are not the way business is conducted in India’s culture.
